Product of the month: Vitamin D3
Have a guess at how many hours of sunshine we have per day in January?! We were talking about this the other day in the clinic and according to Statista.com, on average we get less than 2 hours of sunshine in January each day. Awful, isn’t it? On the plus side, we’ve got a natural pick-me-up to help boost your energy levels and immune system while we wait for the sun to come back. What is this pick-me-up, Vitamin D3!
So vitamin D3, the sunshine vitamin, is used every day by your body, and is produced when we expose our skin to sunlight. Now I don’t know about you, but in this weather I don’t feel like I really want to wander round like I’m on a beach in the Med, so for us Northerners who get about as little sun as can be, we’re all deficient in Vitamin D.
I’ve been taking the same Nordic Oil Vitamin D3 that we advise in the clinic for about a year and a half now, and I must admit, my energy levels have been higher, I’ve been less grumpy and moody (I mean I didn’t think I was grumpy before but apparently I’m better), I find it much easier to get out of bed in the morning and I’ve noticed my headspace is a lot clearer, more focused and I’m not as down in the dumps as much! It’s been great and its not expensive either!
At the clinic we charge just £10 for a 6 months’ supply give or take a few days, and it’s about as strong a dose as we can give you day to day, maximising its effect! To me it’s a no brainer, definitely something worth buying. If you’d like to give it a go, ask one of us on your next visit, or if you haven’t got an appointment coming up, feel free to pop in whenever you’d like.
